This is the story of how we designed our own WordPress plugin, written plainly. It has no customer results in it, because we would rather publish those when we can attribute them.
The problem
Updating a WordPress site is full of small, repetitive jobs: rewriting a heading, fixing a menu, setting meta descriptions on dozens of pages. AI assistants are good at exactly this kind of work, but giving one direct control of a live site is risky. A wrong edit on a production site is public the moment it is saved.
We wanted people to get the speed of chatting with Claude without handing over the keys.
What we built
VeyVix Site Bridge is a WordPress plugin plus a connector. You chat in Claude.ai, Claude Desktop or Claude Code on your own Claude subscription, with no API key. Claude can edit posts, pages, navigation menus, SEO titles and descriptions, media metadata and Elementor pages, and search and replace across the site.
Decisions we made, and why
Two parts, with a narrow plugin. The connector is the part Claude talks to. It handles sign-in, plans changes, shows previews and keeps the subscription. The plugin on your site stays small and does one thing: run approved commands.
Signed commands only. The plugin only runs commands that are digitally signed by VeyVix, meant for that one site, valid for one minute and usable once. It also re-checks WordPress permissions on every object.
Previews tied to confirmations. Every change shows a before and after comparison. Applying it needs a single-use confirmation tied to that exact preview, and it expires after 15 minutes.
Stale-preview protection. Before applying, the plugin checks that the page still matches the preview. If someone edited it in the meantime, nothing is applied.
An audit log with undo. Each entry records the time, the requesting user and the before and after state. You can undo from the chat or from the Changes screen in WordPress.
Approval for risky changes. An optional setting makes settings, global styles, CSS and plugin changes wait for an administrator to click approve in WordPress.
Data kept to a minimum. Page content passes through the connector in memory to answer a request and is not stored. Only change metadata is kept, for 30 days.
Where it stands
Site Bridge is available with a 30-day free trial, with plans for one site, five sites or a custom number of sites. Payments are handled on a hosted Razorpay page, so card details go only to Razorpay.
